
Our Story
Murphy Supply Company has been serving the Greater Cincinnati region since 1950, when founder H. James Murphy, a chemist from Boston, established the business with a focus on dependable service and trustworthy products.
Together with his wife and a small team of employees, Mr. Murphy took his dream of being his own boss in a business he loved and grew it into a successful janitorial supply business.
75 years and three generations later, Murphy Supply continues to support customers across education, healthcare, manufacturing, food service, and other commercial sectors with a full line of janitorial supplies, cleaning chemicals, paper products, and facility-maintenance solutions.
In 2023, we joined the Triple S distributor network, expanding access to national brands, training programs, and supply-chain advantages.
Today, Murphy Supply combines the personal commitment of a family business with new resources to create a more modern cleaning products distributor – delivering quality, value, and service our customers can count on.

Chris Lynn
President
Chris joined Murphy Supply as President in 2025. A longtime Cincinnati-area resident and Miami University graduate, Chris brings a proven track record built on over 25 years of experience in wholesale distribution, supply chain management, sales, and operations.

Jim Murphy
Executive Vice President, Sales
A second-generation member of the Murphy family, Jim now serves as Executive VP of Sales for Murphy Supply, providing continuity with customers while supporting the broader management team as it works to continue strengthening both product and geographical reach to benefit customers throughout the area.
